The Infinite Hard to Grasp
(Why is math?)
The twelve digital paintings in this series emerged rather quickly from my infinite consciousness over the last few days, although the editing process took my original conjurings to divergent artistic frontiers. I could try to get all poetic here and discuss the complexities of relativity, parallel timelines and string theory, but I can't even try to explain these existential abstractions. Hopefully, my creations don't leave you feeling overly confused, like when I tried reading Infinite Jest years ago but only made it about a third of the way through. Strangely enough, David Foster Wallace also wrote an entire book regarding infinity, Everything and More: A Compact History of Infinity, which I also tried to digest a few years ago, but please don't ask me what it was about, as my comprehension of the material was akin to a pig trying to figure out how to use deodorant.
